Call for climate change projects 2022
SWSJ Educational Charity has received a generous donation of £30,000 to support local educational projects for young people (aged up to 25) in Wandsworth to help to tackle climate change.
We are offering small grants (anticipated to be up to £5,000 per project) to local charities, projects, schools and individuals who seek to make a difference in regard to climate change. We particularly want to support projects that influence changes in behaviour; your own behaviour or that of their family, friends, institution, local community or school.
Examples of projects we wish to support:
Direct climate change initiatives, e.g. improving / restoring local environment, making a difference to conservation biodiversity, addressing health and social impacts of climate change, monitoring and reducing an organisation’s carbon footprint, initiatives that facilitate discussion, action and change.
If you would like to apply please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a description of the project’s aims and how it proposes to achieve them, please include costs and explain how your project will be evaluated. At the end of the project we will require a monitoring report on the results and your learning from it, including unexpected or unsuccessful aspects.
Deadlines for applications are as follows:
(applications reviewed on a first-come-first-served basis):
- Tuesday 1st March 2022
- Tuesday 7th June 2022
- Tuesday 6th September 2022
Projects need to take place in 2022 and must be completed by end of November 2022. Successful applicants will be invited to a celebratory event at the end of the year to showcase their projects, network and learn from each other.
Grants will be payable after the project has taken place
once evidence of expenditure and photographs of activity have been received.
